A night of music for Frankie has come and gone..
Where: The Triffid – Newstead, Brisbane
When: Friday 29th of July, 2016. 7pm til late
It was a fantastic night of great music – special thanks to Bernard Fanning & band, Kasey & Bill Chambers, Sahara Beck & band, Christine Johnson aka Madame Lark, Paddy Dempsey & Sissybones, the fearless Bec Mac and special guest shredder Paul McGarry. It really was an awesome night of celebrating with friends, family, our West End community and music fans – there was a lot of love (and alcohol) in the room. All the excitement even led to a bit of biffo, but that’s OK…
All proceeds from the night will go toward Frankie’s ongoing care and providing him with a better future – filled with smart puppies (soon to be on the way) & swim spa for hydrotherapy (if OK with our landlord of course).
We managed to raise some awareness around Angelman Syndrome in the process and donated $15K (raised from the cricket raffle) to the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) Australia. So big thanks to all you cricket fans out there who purchased a ticket and supported AS research!
We also would like to thank all our friends and the people in our community who gave us their support, so willingly and generously, by donating the prizes and buying tickets for what became a MEGA-raffle.
So basically, BIG THANKS to everyone. Just in case you missed that…
THE AMAZING MADAME LARK
There was Let’s be Frank merchandise available on the night (it was a big hit, so not much left) but you can purchase on-line.HERE
